REFERENCE LETTER ASSOCIATION “ASTRON GROUP”
The ASSOCIATION “ASTRON GROUP” (EDRPOU: 36167242) was founded in 2008. Its members include: LLC “MAKON LTD”, LLC “ASTRONTRANSAVTO”, LLC “MAKON TRANS EXCAVATION”, LLC “MAKON TRANS LOGISTIC”, LLC “ASTRON DEVELOPMENT GROUP”, LLC “ASTRON DEVELOPMENT GROUP CAPITAL”, and others. Among them are construction companies with extensive experience in executing building works and a strong portfolio of clients. The Association brings together companies operating in the fields of industrial and civil demolition, earthworks, construction, and rental of various types of specialized equipment.
“ASTRON GROUP” has a holding-type structure – parent companies control subsidiaries by owning shares in their charter capitals. Thus, the ultimate beneficiaries are the same individuals. Over more than 32 years, the “ASTRON GROUP” team has developed principles that allow us to provide high-quality services to our clients. The foundation of our company’s philosophy lies in modern ideas implemented by a professional team using a solid material and technical base. In March 2019, we received two certificates for trademarks – “ASTRON GROUP” and “ASTRON TRADE HOUSE”. Trademark registration (also referred to as a trade name or service mark in Ukraine) is a lengthy and complex process. These trademarks are now the legal property of “ASTRON”.
The organizational structure of the “ASTRON GROUP” Association is clearly divided by sectors, with each enterprise responsible for a specific area of activity. The evolution of the business development of the Association’s companies has passed through several stages. The transition from retail to development began in 2003. Before that, since 1993, the main activity was trading in industrial, food, and construction goods. Since 1994 – sales of audio, video, and computer equipment. Since 1997 – the opening of branches and shopping centers. Since 2005 – the main activity shifted from retail sales of household appliances and industrial goods to leasing out owned commercial spaces. The second area of focus for the Association’s companies is construction. The first construction company was established in 1998. Subsequently, they began building their own shopping centers, owning commercial real estate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This laid the foundation for the development of additional areas such as demolition, logistics, transportation, and earthworks. It is also important to mention the company’s prior experience in partnership as a co-owner in overburden removal in quarries, which allowed it to independently enter this field in 2020. LLC “MAKON LTD” (EDRPOU 20334631) – the oldest enterprise of the “ASTRON GROUP” Association, operating for over 32 years and essentially the same age as independent Ukraine. The history of the Association began with this company. Its core function is overburden removal and transportation of minerals and bulk materials (ore, slag, clay, etc.). The company has many years of experience in working with commercial proposals from companies such as METINVEST Group – PJSC “ILYICH IRON AND STEEL WORKS”, PJSC “AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS”, LLC “METINVEST SHIPPING”, UMG Group – PJSC “VESKO”, PJSC “VOGNEUPORNERUD”, PJSC “DRUZHKIVSKE MINING ENTERPRISE”, LLC “NOVOTROITSKE MINING ENTERPRISE”, YERISTIVSKYI MINING AND PROCESSING PLANT, LLC “POLTAVA MINING AND PROCESSING PLANT”, PJSC “BILIAIVSKYI BENEFICIATION PLANT”, LLC “EURO MINERAL”, LLC “DONBAS KERAMIKA”, PJSC “IVANO-FRANKIVSKCEMENT”, LLC “DIORIT”, and others.
The company holds licenses for open-pit mining, earthworks deeper than 2 meters and within underground utility zones, loading and unloading operations using machinery, geological exploration, works on live electrical installations and cable lines with voltage over 1000V, in high-frequency voltage zones, as well as works related to the creation and operation of waste rock dumps, pit slopes, and excavations. The company has a declaration of compliance of its material and technical base with occupational health and safety legislation.
LLC “ASTRONTRANSAVTO” (EDRPOU 39732383) – established in 2015. The company’s main activity is providing services or leasing of vehicles, excavators, bulldozers, and other equipment to enterprises within the “ASTRON GROUP” Association or other companies. It owns the Association’s fleet, which includes 152 units of machinery.
Despite the war in Ukraine, in 2022 the company purchased 7 units of equipment and in 2023 became the owner of 4 heavy Caterpillar demolition machines. Also in 2023, the company purchased a transportation coupling for these excavators based on a VOLVO tractor with a low-bed trailer. In 2024, the company acquired 6 SCANIA P440D 6x4HZ dump trucks, 8 SCANIA P440D 8x4HZ dump trucks, a Caterpillar M313D wheeled excavator, and 4 units of mounted equipment – CAT MP318 and CAT MP324. Plans for 2025 include purchasing over 20 more SCANIA units and 8 DEVELON MOXY DA30 articulated dump trucks.
LLC “MAKON TRANS EXCAVATION” (EDRPOU 44224637) – its primary function is overburden removal and transportation of minerals and bulk materials (ore, slag, clay, etc.). The company carries out excavation and mining operations in quarries, as well as complex loading tasks. It holds permits for earthworks and loading/unloading operations using machinery.
LLC “MAKON TRANS LOGISTIC” (EDRPOU 44209006) – the main business activity is freight transportation by road.
LLC “ASTRON DEVELOPMENT GROUP” (EDRPOU 39706505) and LLC “ASTRON DEVELOPMENT GROUP CAPITAL” (EDRPOU 39733591) – the core activity of these enterprises is leasing or operating owned or rented real estate.

One of the company’s key areas is building demolition and earthworks. This experience was gained in 2021–February 2022 at PJSC “ILYICH IRON AND STEEL WORKS” in Mariupol. In November 2022, demolition work was carried out for PJSC “VESTASTROY”. From May to July 2024, in the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region, the company dismantled a damaged five-story residential building, performing work based on the technical inspection of the building structures and utility systems. From 2021 to 2025, the enterprises of “ASTRON GROUP” Association performed overburden removal at the following sites:

The companies of the ASTRON GROUP Association have experience not only in the removal of construction waste but also in the disposal of industrial waste from metallurgical plants, specifically slag. This experience includes the transportation and loading, temporary storage, and movement of industrial waste, metal-containing waste (MCW), refractory scrap, and operations within and beyond the plant’s territory, including work at waste disposal sites. Slag, as a secondary raw material, is reused in nearly 100% of cases for the production of construction materials. Construction waste from demolition works is also considered secondary raw material and is used for the production of new building materials.
From 2016 to 2022, the companies of the ASTRON GROUP Association removed 9.2 million tons of slag, which generated revenue of 21 million USD.
The ASTRON GROUP Association pays great attention to occupational safety. All health and safety measures are of utmost importance to us and are aimed at preventing accidents and creating a safe and healthy working environment. Occupational safety must always be a top priority at any enterprise. Compliance with safety standards ensures the protection and well-being of workers while performing their duties. The company also places significant focus on operational workplace inspections, with ongoing monitoring, analysis, and regular work conducted with employees. In April 2019, based on our performance, MAKON LTD was recognized as the best contractor for occupational safety at PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol” (MMKI). One of the main priorities of MMKI is ensuring the reliable and safe operation of technological equipment and the creation of safe working conditions at the production site. MAKON LTD was awarded an honorary certificate as the best organization that fully complied with occupational safety requirements at a high level.
Expanding the company’s own fleet is a key component of its economic independence. Despite the war, we continue to upgrade our vehicle fleet, which enables us to expand our geographic reach. The company works exclusively with official equipment dealers, and all equipment is serviced exclusively at authorized service centers. Each dealer relationship includes a loyalty program detailing crucial aspects such as operating hours for each unit, years of maintenance, discounts on equipment purchases, service maintenance, spare parts, and more.
The ASTRON GROUP Association continually expands its fleet of machinery. SCANIA trucks are among the most fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly on the market, winning the prestigious Green Truck Award for the 9th consecutive year. It is widely used in building construction, demolition of old structures and fences, and road construction. CAT machinery is ideal for large-scale earthworks.
