A three-day trip to the SCANIA plant in Sweden for the President of the ASTRON GROUP Association, Konstantin Mashnenkov, and the Director of the Mariupol branch of MAKON LTD, Oleksiy Shevchuk, was organized and paid for by Scania Ukraine. The managers visited cities such as Stockholm, Södertälje, and Oskarshamn. It is in the city of Södertälje that the SCANIA headquarters and the management center for all representative offices are located. There is also a plant for the production of engines and production facilities for the assembly of vehicles. A cabin production plant is located in Oskarshamn.

During the trip, Konstantin Mashnenkov and Oleksiy Shevchuk visited the company’s museum and two plants: for the production of cabins and engines. “I was personally impressed by the cabin production line,” shares his impressions with us the President of the ASTRON GROUP Association, Konstantin Mashnenkov. “This line has been operating since 2012 and is still a trade secret of the company. The line is fully automated. 265 robots work on it, and 2 billion dollars have been invested in it. It looks just fantastic!”

Alexey Shevchuk noted the scale of the engine production plant, and the number of engines produced per day – 400 units! This is incredible!

Yes, these are truly unique plants and unique production. On the site near the plant, 12 units of various equipment were exhibited for a test drive, and it was offered to take a ride on any of them. Alexey Shevchuk chose a thermal van with a trailer for this, the length of the trailer itself reaches 22 meters! “At first I felt that the car started moving very slowly, but when he heard that the weight of this van with cargo was 62 tons, I understood why,” Alexey Mikhailovich continues his story very emotionally.
